Account & Settings

Your account settings are where you manage who you are, who works with you, how you pay, and how you keep the account secure. This guide covers updating your profile, adding people to your business, billing, the referral programme, password and two-factor security, and closing your account.

Updating your profile
  1. 1 Open Settings and choose Profile.
  2. 2 Update your name and email address, then Save.
  3. 3 If you change your email, CMA marks it unverified and sends a confirmation link to the new address - use Resend if you need another copy.
  4. 4 This is your own login profile; your business name, logo and payment details are set separately under Business Settings.
Managing business members and billing
  1. 1 To add someone to your business, open Settings, choose Businesses, then invite them by email and pick their role - they join once they accept the emailed invitation.
  2. 2 From the same screen you can change a member's role or remove someone who no longer needs access.
  3. 3 For billing, open Billing from the main menu to see your current plan or trial status, the date it renews or ends, and your past invoices.
  4. 4 Select Manage Subscription to update your card or cancel through Stripe's secure portal, or Subscribe if you are on a trial and ready to go ahead at £49/month.
Setting up the referral programme
  1. 1 Open Referrals from the main menu and select Opt in to referrals to generate your unique referral code and shareable link.
  2. 2 Share the link, or the QR code, on a flyer, business card or van wrap - it scans straight to your sign-up link.
  3. 3 You earn £10 for every month a business you referred stays subscribed, so a single referral keeps paying for as long as they do.
  4. 4 The page tracks who has signed up through you and shows your paid and pending payouts.
Changing your password and enabling 2FA
  1. 1 Open Settings and choose Security.
  2. 2 To change your password, enter your current password, then your new password twice, and Save.
  3. 3 To turn on two-factor authentication, scan the QR code with an authenticator app and confirm the code - from then on you enter a code at login as well as your password.
  4. 4 CMA gives you recovery codes to store safely in case you lose your phone, and you can disable two-factor again from the same screen.
Cancelling your account
  1. 1 Open Close Account from the main menu.
  2. 2 Use Download data export first to save a ZIP of every client, quote, invoice, appointment, document and media file - closing the account permanently removes all of it.
  3. 3 Enter your password to confirm it is really you, then select Permanently Close Account.
  4. 4 CMA cancels any active subscription on the businesses you own and closes the account, and you are signed out straight away.
